Tras su participación
en el BBK Music Legends Festival 2019 compartiendo
cartel con bandas y artistas de tanto peso como Ben
Harper & The Innocent Criminals, The Beach Boys, Little
Steven and The Disciples of Soul o Suzanne Vega
entre otros.
La formación con base en Bilbao Amann & The Wayward Sons
presenta “Drive Home”, nuevo álbum que será editado
en formato vinilo y cede, ya a la venta en grandes superficies.
Recientemente avanzaban un segundo single bajo el nombre de
“Rocking Chair”, un corte musical con aromas
a Bourbon, a madera crujiente y a calor sofocante; aliviado
por una sombra, un banjo y una cerveza fresca en cualquier
porche de Mississippi o Lousiana… |

“Drive Home” fue grabado en Diciembre de 2018 en los estudios Tío
Pete de Urduliz en Bizkaia mientras ultimaban la gira de
“Free Soul”. Tras concluir la presentación de su
anterior álbum, deciden encerrarse en el estudio para
sentar las bases de esta nueva entrega en un excelente
ejercicio de improvisación, grabando en riguroso directo
y poniendo en común todo el proceso creativo,
experimentando e incorporando nueva instrumentación como
es el caso del banjo en Rocking Chair e
integrando el piano vintage como bonus track.
Amann & The Wayward Sons muestra con este nuevo
trabajo la esencia del rock americano con once
canciones enérgicas y dinámicas, incitando a la fácil
escucha y con cierto aire cinematográfico. Sus canciones
abordan temas que conmueven; historias de perdedores,
héroes verdaderos, el desamor, la injusticia social,
temas en definitiva que forman parte de nuestra vida
cotidiana.
“Drive Home"
está producido y mezclado por Emi Barés y Masterizado

After playing in the last edition of BBK Music
Legends Festival in Bilbao (Spain), June 2019, with
such bands and artists as Ben Harper & The Innocent
Criminals, The Beach Boys, Little Steven and The
Disciples of Soul or Suzanne Vega among others, the
Bilbao-based band AMANN & THE WAYWARD SONS is
proud to present their second album, “DRIVE HOME",
available on all major platforms since last September
13th.
Recently they advanced a second single under the name of
"Rocking Chair", a cut than sounds with a Bourbon
and crunchy wood bouquet, under a blistering heat, only
relieved by a shadow, an old banjo and a fresh beer on
hand at any porch of Mississippi or Lousiana.
“Drive Home”
was recorded in December 2018 at Tío Pete Studios in
Biscay (Basque Country) while they finished their first
álbum (mixed and masterized in Abbey Road UK) “Free
Soul” tour. Then they decided to lock themselves in the
studio, to lay the foundations of this new work ,
recording in rigorous direct and sharing the entire
creative process, experiencing and incorporating new
instrumentation such as the banjo in Rocking Chair and
taking advantage of a vintage piano in “Drive home
acoustic version” that was recorded in a one take
improvisation, finally delivered as a bonus track.
Amann & The
Wayward Sons shows with this new work the essence of
American rock with eleven energetic and dynamic songs,
encouraging easy listening and a certain cinematic
atmosphere. The songs address stories of losers, true
heroes, heartbreak, or social injustice, issues that are
definitely part of our daily lives.
“Drive Home"
has been produced and mixed by Emi Barés and
Mastered by Pedro Viñuela of NEXO 101 (Valencia).
